The Birds Forgot Who They Are

The last two games, and two losses. But let’s be real, these weren’t just losses. They were embarrassments. It’s almost like the Eagles forgot who they are. These were the kind of games that make you question if this is the same team that talked about “unfinished business.” Because from the looks of it, they’re already finished.

That Giants game? Flat-out pathetic. No fight. No pride. No urgency. Just a bunch of guys jogging through plays like they’d rather be anywhere else. This is Philly, not Florida, we don’t do cruise control football. The Birds didn’t just lose, they quit.

And don’t feed us that “it’s early” garbage. Philly doesn’t do excuses. We bleed for this team. We pack the Linc in the cold, we scream till our throats burn, and in return, we expect effort, not sleepwalking and arm tackles. If any of us showed up to our jobs with that kind of energy, we’d be packing boxes by Monday.

This fanbase is loyal to the bone, but don’t mistake loyalty for blind faith. We know bad football when we see it. And what we saw last week was soft, outplayed, outcoached, and out-hustled by a division rival that wanted it more. You can lose with dignity. You can’t lose with disinterest.

Philly doesn’t ask for perfection. We ask for fight. For grit. For somebody to care. When you put on that Eagles jersey, you represent a city that punches above its weight in everything, from sports to life. So, when the team shows up like they don’t give a damn, it hits different. It’s personal.

So yeah, we’re F^kstrated. Because we deserve better. Because we believed. Because every one of us out here defending you in bars, arguing with Cowboys fans, and losing our minds in front of the TV, we expect you to show up like it matters.

Next week isn’t just another game. It’s a test. Show us you remember who you are. Show us that Philly fire. Because right now, it feels like the city’s got more heart than the team wearing its name.

Until then, we’ll be here, angry, loyal, and still watching. Because that’s what being a Philly fan is. We never quit, even when the team looks like it has.
